Due to the VFSAA incorporating
ARF models into their contest calendar, BRMFC decided during early 2010 to
abandon this event and offer the slot in our calendar to the VFSAA. The
following information is retained for historical interest only.
BRMFC runs an annual competition for ARF (Almost Ready to Fly) scale models on the
4th Sunday in October.
Click here to see the results of previous competitions.
The aim of this event is to give modelers interested in scale aircraft who don't
have the necessary time or building skills to construct their own, the opportunity
to compete in scale flying.
Of course it is hoped that the experience gained will spur many on to building their
own scale models in the future.
If you would like to pre-enter say a month or two before the event, download the
promotional flyer,
pilot entry & score sheet
and the list of F4C maneouvres
and send the entry form to the address specified on the flyer. (It is hoped that we will have
electronic entry in the future.) Alternatively send an email to the
Contest Director
indicating that you intend to enter.
As an incentive to participate, we always try to have excellent
prizes on offer.
If you don't know how to get to our field click here
to open the Flying Field location page.
The pictures on the right were taken during the event held on 22nd October 2006.
