Welcome to the BRMFC web site

*** Semi-Restricted Field Access ***

From Monday 1st June the Government has changed the rules regarding the number of persons which can be in attendance at certain gatherings. It has been increased to a total of 20 (twenty) which means we can cease the need to keep a list of members wishing to be at Trawalla. The reason being we very rarely get 20 members/guests at any one time therefore in that regard we shall be returning to normal and members may just turn up and fly. However those in attendance must keep an eye on the total and the expectation is self-regulation will be practised to ensure we meet the rules and no more than 20 persons are at the field at any one time.

All other rules and recommendations previously put in place will continue to be in effect. See this latest news link for details.

If you're interested in Radio Controlled model aircraft you should find this site helpful. It contains information about our club and links to other aeromodelling web sites.

BRMFC relocated to Trawalla as of 1st October 2014, corner of Nerring-Trawalla (Church) Road and the Western Highway Trawalla, 40kms by road WNW of Ballarat, Victoria, Australia. Prior to the move we flew at Spreadeagle Road Yendon for fourteen years.

Up until the end of April 2016 when the land was sold to the neighbouring Trawalla Estate, we shared operations with Dynamic Flight Park hang gliders and the occasional full size aircraft landing. Since then full size operations have ceased due to more intense farming of the land.

We also now have the field at Burrumbeet Racecourse following the integration of the former Golden Plains Model Flying Club into BRMFC.

Roger's Great Planes Super Stearman powered by an OS FS-200S at our field on Sunday 1st June 2008.
