BRMFC relocated to Trawalla
as of 1st October 2014, corner of Nerring-Trawalla
(Church) Road and the Western Highway Trawalla, 40kms by road WNW of Ballarat, Victoria,
Australia. Prior to the move we flew at Spreadeagle Road Yendon for fourteen years.
Up until the end of April 2016 when the land was sold to the neighbouring Trawalla
Estate, we shared operations with Dynamic Flight Park hang gliders and the occasional
full size aircraft landing. Since then full size operations have ceased due to more
intense farming of the land.
It soon became apparent that we could accommodate rotary wing flying with fixed wing. A set of rules was framed in August 2017 to enable a safe and enjoyable co-existence of both types of flying in a limited space and can be found in Appendix B of the
safety rules.
Note: All flyers should be aware of the safety rules.
We also now have the field at Burrumbeet Racecourse following the integration of
the former Golden Planes Model Flying Club into BRMFC.
